I unearthed this photograph of me taken by my dad on Easter morning in 1985, my head thrown back in delight. This is the image on the left. I then rescanned the photo and manipulated it to achieve the distorted quality seen on the right. Premonitions (1985) is part of a larger series called Loma Prieta (1989) juxtaposing moments from this morning in 1985 to moments after the Loma Prieta earthquake that changed everything.
