Lian Morales - "Side by Side"

$150.00

Acrylic paint, ink, newsprint on 10×10 inch paper- Ships May 1st

When you run through the grass, you might brush past a birds nest, a cluster or flowers, or a rabbits den. The freedom of nature is compelling, but can be out of reach for others. In this time of our lives, there are many restrictions or who or what we can be. Side by side is a depiction of two rabbits, although running through the grass, are deconstructed by mechanical parts. It is unnatural, and confusing. This is how this year and the following will feel, and this piece urges you to sit with this feeling, but also remember the freedom you have to keep running (or hopping, whatever you may feel is best).
