The main themes of this piece are play and corn. I seek to find play through my ceramic practice through colorful characters and drawings. Animated corns have been a theme throughout my work for many years due to the importance of corn in this country in addition to its silly appearance. This is the first in a series of mosaics where I experiment with using unused ceramic objects and combine them with my characters to create whimsical worlds.
