Faultline Artspace offers 25 individual art studios for rent in a secure, creative warehouse in East Oakland. Whether you’re a painter, sculptor, printmaker, illustrator, or multi-disciplinary artist, our studios are designed to give you the space, quiet, and community you need to make your best work. All rentals include utilities, super-fast WiFi, and access to shared resources, events, and exhibition opportunities.

Studio Rental Questions?
Wondering about lease terms, what kinds of materials are allowed, or how to share a studio with a friend? We’ve collected answers to the most common questions here:

Artists get 24/7 access, utilities, high-speed WiFi, gated parking, shared sinks and common areas, discounts on canvas and panels, and access to community events like figure drawing and open studios.

Most dry and wet media are welcome — drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking, etc. We ask tenants using extremely dusty, toxic, or aerosol-based materials to use our outdoor area or wood shop.

Yes — the building includes gated parking, secure entrances, emergency lighting, and regular building safety upgrades. The building has dedicated staff and security, and there is a full time security guard on patrolling the streets outside our building.

We have regular shows in our new Faultline Gallery at 3908 Macarthur Blvd, studio artists are invited to participate in many of them, such as 8×10, Womens+ 10xTEN, Grooves,and more! At the Studio Gallery at Faultline Artspace we have rotating exhibits featuring studio artists and Open Studios.

We offer month to month leases.

A deposit equal to one month’s rent must be paid as a security deposit, and the first month’s full or prorated rent.
